Week 1

TL DR:

  • Sadie scores points, climbs the rankings
  • Some other jokers tumble but no bullshit I’m ranked #1 lol

Like a newborn fawn, we take our first feeble steps into the dawn of a fresh season. Week 1 behind us already, how time flies.

Some of us won, some of you lost and so begins the long process of separating the wheat(me) from the chaff(you).

Let’s see how everyone did.

Alec, Will, George, Stefan, Emma, & Sadie are the Week 1 winners 🥳

Joey, Rosie/Julia, Tony, Kate, Sam, & Sydney are the Week 1 losers ❌

Sadie had the highest score of the week by far and set a high bar for the rest of the season! Joey had the lowest score thanks in large part to an early Xavier Worthy injury.

And uh, I’ll be honest, I thought I would be able to pull that “Matchup Recap” thing ESPN does after looking at it the first time but I can’t find it and was really gonna leverage that for some color…

That’s our Week 1! Around the NFL we had a few story lines start to develop.
The Bears ate shit, shaping up for another disappointing and frustrating season, as is tradition.

Chiefs will miss the playoffs. Calling it now.

But I’ll be honest, I’m still in baseball mode. Sox have a playoff shot.

It’s also really hard to get the football games in this East African Lafufu factory but I’m trying to convince them that an NFL+ subscription is a “legitimate business expense”. Which is frankly insane for them to care about but here we are.
